RFC: Who We Are

SINCE 1955, RICHMOND’S LARGEST YOUTH SPORT GROUP BY MEMBERSHIP

For over 65 years, Richmond FC was our city’s premier football club for boys and girls. Taking in kids as young as 3 years old and seeing them through their football development until they leave for college, RFC offers soccer programs for both recreational and competitive players in youth leagues and beyond.

Forming from a combination of four previous soccer clubs: Central Richmond Soccer Association, South Arm Soccer Association, West Richmond Soccer Association, and North Richmond Soccer Association, RFC is a leading part of Richmond Soccer Association district within BC Soccer, and is a registered Society.

For decades, Richmond parents have enlisted their kids into our spring programs (for fun and development) and fall/winter programs (for competition and training), as well as mini-kickers for young kids, Kids4U sessions for toddlers, spring and summer camps, and skill-based programs for goalkeepers and strikers.

More recently, the club has evolved to provide girls programming beyond the co-ed years, with the assistance of former national team managers and a squad of young coaches developed in-house by Technical Director David Thorburn, widely known as Canada’s ‘coach of coaches.’

While we provide a growing advanced program for players looking for a pathway to professional potential, we also have a substantial and important grassroots program for kids who just want to get outside, stay in shape, and kick a ball around with their friends, and we’re adding low cost programs for families that might not be in a position to afford for traditional seasonal fees.

In essence, we’d love to see your children out with ours, kicking a ball and having a blast. SIGN UP TODAY!
