Refund Policy

Fall-Winter Soccer Season

U5 to U12 OPEN DEVELOPMENT (RECREATIONAL):

Refund requests submitted up to the day before the start of the season for which the player is registered will be refunded in full less the $50 administration fee.

Refund requests submitted between the day the season starts and October 31st will be refunded 50% of the applicable registration fee less the $25 administration fee.

No refunds will be issued after October 31st.

Requests to Withdraw for medical reasons (season-ending injury) that are accompanied by a doctor’s note or residential move (with supporting documents) will be considered throughout the season and are subject to the conditions outlined below:

i) Refund requests submitted up to the day before the start of the season for which the player is registered will be refunded, in full, less the $50 administration fee

ii) 50% of the applicable registration fees less the $25 administration fee for Requests to Withdraw submitted by November 30th.

iii) 25% of the applicable registration fees less the $25 administration fee for Requests to Withdraw submitted between December 1st and January 31st.

iv) No refunds will be issued after January 31st.

U13 to U18 OPEN DEVELOPMENT (RECREATIONAL/DIVISION 3):

Refund requests submitted up to the day before the start of the season, e.g. the first game, for which the player is registered will be refunded in full less the $50 administration fee.

Refund requests submitted between the day the season starts  and October 31st will be refunded 50% of the applicable registration fee less the $25 administration fee.

No refunds will be issued after October 31st.

Requests to Withdraw for medical reasons (season-ending injury) that are accompanied by a doctor’s note or residential move (with supporting documents) will be considered throughout the season and are subject to the conditions outlined below:

A) Refund requests submitted up to the day before the start of the season for which the player is registered will be refunded, in full, less the$50 administration fee.

i) 50% of the applicable registration fees less $25 administration fee for Requests to Withdraw after the season starts and submitted by November 30th.

ii) 25% of the applicable registration fees less $25 administration fee for Requests to Withdraw submitted between December 1st and January 31st.

iii) No refunds will be issued after January 31st.

U8-U18 ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT (Competitive includes METRO, DIVISION 1, DIVISION 2):

1) Prior to the close of registration (June 12, 2022) refunds will be provided less a $50 administration fee.

2) No refunds are provided after registration closes except in the following circumstances:

A) Requests to Withdraw from a team at the Metro, Division 1, Division 2 levels to play on a higher level team (BCSPL) not provided by Richmond FC submitted prior to the start of the season (1st practice) will be refunded 50% of the registration fees less a $25 administration fee. No refund are provided after the season starts.

B) Requests to Withdraw due to relocation (ie. moving to another municipality) will be refunded as follows (with supporting documentation):

i) Refund requests submitted up to the day before the start of the season for which the player is registered will be refunded in full less the $50 administration fee.

ii) 50% of the applicable registration fees less a $25 administration fee for Requests to Withdraw submitted by October 31st.

iii) 25% of the applicable registration fees less the $25 administration fee for Requests to Withdraw submitted between November 1st and January 31st.

iv) No refunds will be issued after January 31st.

C) Requests to Withdraw for medical reasons (season ending injury or illness) that are accompanied by a doctor’s note stating such will be refunded as follows:

i) Refund requests submitted up to the day before the start of the season for which the player is registered will be refunded in full less the $50 administration fee.

ii) 50% of the applicable registration fees less the $25 administration fee for Requests to Withdraw submitted by October 31st.

iii) 25% of the applicable registration fees less the $25 administration fee for Requests to Withdraw submitted between November 1st and January 31st.

iv) No refunds will be issued after January 31st.

 

Spring Soccer (for all programs)

Refund are provided up to the day before the season starts, subject to a $50 administration fee. Refunds are not provided after the spring soccer season starts except in instances of residential move or season ending injury both of which must be accompanied by supporting documents. Refunds would be pro-rated in these two circumstances. Please contact the Club Administrator admin@richmondfc.ca

Camps/Academy Programs

Refund are provided prior to the start date of program, subject to a $50 administration fee. Refunds are not provided after the camps/programs start.

Refunds do to weather conditions

In the event of extreme weather conditions, games or practices may be cancelled, if fields are closed by field operator (City of Richmond) or BC Soccer weather policy (extreme heat) dictates, because field/playing  conditions are unsafe. Richmond FC will not be responsible for refunds if games or practices are cancelled by field operators, BC Soccer policy or leagues that we participate in such as BC Coastal Soccer League or Richmond FC in-house league.

Where possible, Richmond FC will make-up sessions if field availablity permits. If excessive sessions are cancelled, e.g., fields are closed for 3 weeks do to snow coverage, the Board of Directors, may on a season by season basis determine a CREDIT to a future Richmond FC program.
