2023 Spring – Mini-Kickers Program (2017-2016)

This one day a week Richmond FC (RFC) skill development program is for girls and boys born in 2019 and 2018. As a Canada Soccer Quality Soccer Provider, all RFC programming aligns with the CSA Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model and players will be grouped with an emphasis on extending and supporting the player’s stage of development.  There will be an emphasis on individual and small group development, using deliberate practice to develop soccer and physical literacy skills.

The Kids4U will be led by Richmond FC Technical Director, David Thorburn and LTPD Manager, Scott Guy.

The Kids4U program provides a curriculum framework for children born in 2019 and 2018 focusing on developing
·         Physical Literacy Skills
·         Emotional, personal and social development
·         Individual ball mastery
·         Cognitive Development

Young players will be exposed to the Worlds #1 coaching skills method by CSA and UEFA qualified Coaching Instructors. Participation in this program will assist children in developing positive self-esteem; promote a healthy attitude towards physical activity as well as developing basic physical literacy and ball skills.

Weekly Training Overview
Ball mastery – Exercises where players work alone using the ball with high repetition of touches, including moves to change direction, running with the ball, and shooting.
Physical literacy – Fun games incorporating game specific movements. Small sided games – 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 games Fun! Fun! Fun!

Refunds subject to a $50 administration fee are provided up to March 25. No refunds are provided after March 25.
